Frequently asked questions
Q: Why should I tattoo with you?
A: Because my goal is not just to put ink on your skin, but to create something that matters to you. Tattooing is something very sacred: I am permanently altering a body of a person; I canโt think of something that requires more trust than this. To me, tatoos are not fashion nor decoration: my artistic philosophy and work ethic makes it closer to a ritual. My work is slow, careful, and personal. Think of it like commissioning a handmade piece of furniture instead of buying something mass-produced. Itโs designed to fit you, built to last, and made with care.
Q: Will my tattoo be one-of-a-kind?
A: Yes. I never repeat designs. Once a tattoo is yours, it is yours alone. I may reuse certain motifs (for example, a cross, a rose, etc.), but never in the same way twice. The way those motifs combine, the proportions, the flow, the placement; all of that is unique to you.
Q: How does the custom design process work?
A: First fill the form in the bookings page or send me an e-mail (fecchink@gmail.com), whatever feels best for you. The process always starts with a conversation. Some people arrive with very clear ideas, knowing exactly what they want. Others come in with only a vague feeling, or even a single word. Both are welcome. I listen carefully, ask questions, and try to understand not just what you want drawn, but why. From there, I begin to sketch. I refine the drawing in dialogue with you (sometimes in one round, sometimes in dozens) until the piece feels right. Itโs not about rushing; itโs about listening to the point where the tattoo begins to take on its right form.
Q: I donโt know what I want. Can I still book?
A: Absolutely. You donโt need to arrive with a perfectly formed idea, thatโs what Iโm here for. Many clients come with just a vague impulse: โI feel like I need something to mark this stage of my life,โ or โIโm drawn to certain symbols and am not sure how to incorporate them into a tattooโ Thatโs more than enough. Through conversation an through gathering references, I can give shape to what you feel but canโt yet picture. Sometimes, the most unique tattoos are born from this process of discovery.
I also have a page here on my website with designs that i personally want to tattoo, for this reason they have a reduced price compared to custom pieces. Feel free to chose one of them if this works best for you.
Q: Do you have a minimum price?
A: Yes. Even the smallest tattoo requires setup, design, preparation, and careful execution. For that reason, I have a minimum price of โฌ100 to respect the time and work involved. That said, whether your tattoo is small or large, it will receive the same attention, detail, and dedication.
Q: How much your tattoos cost?
A: Because each piece is custom, pricing varies depending on size, complexity, and time, but a rough ballpark is around โฌ120 hourly rate. After weโve discussed your idea, Iโll give you an exact clear price, sometimes divided into sessions (if a larger piece).
At the moment i am only accepting payments in cash or bank transfers, no cards or bizum sadly.
Q: Where do you tattoo? Do you work in a shop?
A: I work from a private studio set up in my apartment near Cuatro Caminos in Madrid. Itโs a quiet, comfortable space designed specifically for tattooing: clean, professional, and fully equipped, but without the hustle and noise of a busy shop. I follow the same hygiene and safety standards youโd find in any professional studio: sterile equipment, single-use needles, and a carefully sanitized workspace. Because I only work by appointment, your session is completely private and focused on you. Many clients actually prefer this environment, since it feels more personal and relaxed than a traditional shop.
Q: Do you ever tattoo outside Madrid, or in other countries in Europe?
A: Thatโs definitely part of my plan. I would love to travel and bring my work to other places, but at the moment Iโm still in the middle of a visa process. Once thatโs settled, Iโll be able to organize guest spots and sessions in other cities across Europe. Itโs something Iโm really looking forward to, but for now my work is based in Madrid.
Q: Why donโt you have social media?
A: I get this one a lot! The truth is: social media algorithms arenโt really designed to help art grow; they reward speed, noise, and endless scrolling, which is the opposite of how I like to work. On top of that, the constant grind of posting isnโt great for mental health, and it often feels like being just another drop in an endless ocean of meaningless content. Instead, I prefer a slower, more personal way of connecting: meeting people in real life and having direct conversations, or clients reccomending me to their friends (I always feel so cool when this happens). This way, nothing gets lost in the feed, and I can focus entirely on what matters most: creating the best art that i possibly can.
Q: How can I see your work if you donโt use social media?
A: Easy, right here on my website. I always keep my portfolio and available designs updated so you can browse through past tattoos and get a clear sense of my style. Unlike social media, nothing gets buried under algorithms or drowned out by endless scrolling. Everything is curated and easy to find.
